I fixed up my projects section, that arguable looks better now. I'm also setting up a dropbox for all of the computers in the house. It's pretty neat if you haven't heard of it before. It's like a free 2 gigs sitting out on the web that you can hook your computer up to. Then i put some files i have to edit constantly on there and drew a link from that to my grandmothers website. :) it's all kind of nifty. Now whenever i edit the file i don't have to move it between computer or upload it to the interenet, it's all done simultaniously.
Missed Game Dev day last week :( which is sadness. but i did a little on the website yesterday so i feel somewhat accomplished. It's raining pretty bad here right now not looking forward to class later.

Think Geek background
Well i spent over 4 hours today working on the website, which is nice after math i must admit. It needs progress in the long run and i like taking care of it in small installments instead of losing a few days to it..
Anyway i was trying to think of a new background image that could work for the website, help uniformity and cut down on the file size of the old one. Which really wasn't much of an issue. It's not like i don't have the space for it but having a lot of large images on my website is something i'd like to avoid as a practice. This way everything will load much faster, and people using phones can acess things much faster. Ideally someday i'd like to use this as a part of a portfolio and if anyone is going to check it out i'd imagine it'd be on a phone for the convenience of it. Anyway here is what i WANT the background to look like: Think Geek Rip-Off don't forget to scroll to the bottom!
I mean ideally it's not going to have the robots and the same color scheme, not because i don't like them.. Zombies and Robots are pretty awesome after all. But the people who made it had a pretty clever idea, and i'd feel wrong copying them to closely. But i do like the idea and would like ton incorporate it into my website when i can :)
Anyway, the people from Ludum Dare have been helping me out a lot recently on my web dev day's and thanks to them i'd like to think i'm making a lot of positive changes to the look and functionality of the website.

GA finally works
Google Analytics is finally working. only took about 6 hours. I filtered out my ip adress.. so i'll probably have less hits now :( i also did a bunch of other shit.. it was a productive Web Dev Day. As you may have noticed all of my links are now html-ish. I plan on having floating drop down lists in the future.. i just haven't done it yet. It's going to be a lot of work when i get around to doing it..
I've also made it so you can bookmark specific pages if you want to.. except the D&D section.. which i'm contemplating leaving like that.. That way it feels more like an application.. and it all just loads in the same page.. like "magic" i don't know.. might be dumb i'll think it over later. For now i'm just gonig to imagine that i'm done with the links and come back to it later.

Google Analytics
Moving over to google analytics.. so i'm really going to miss the stat counter that told me that i was popular.. kind of.. i miss it already. hopefully the new one will give me better reports.. and it's by google so obviously they know what they're doing. I don't know if it'll ignore my ip adress though.. my old one did..

Crushed Pride
This Web Dev Day invovled a lot of hurt feelings and crushed pride as i asked for suggestions. Next Web Dev day will involve much demolition and reconstruction. In all fariness it was time for me to rebuild it, i just didn't expect it to require so much of a difference right off the bat, but i guess there's no helping it.
The Layout is going to change immensely.. and it might look crappier at first.. But i think in the long run everything should end up more "Stream-lined" I have a rought idea of how i want it to look but web dev day is over. So it'll start next time..

Invention of "Web Dev Day"
Well I've decided that wednesday's after class will be my "Web Dev" day. Website certainly could use some work after all so i think it'll be awhile before it reaches it's final stage. I do have an idea of how i would like it to look, and i had a huge burst of creativity the other day about how i wanted it to look but i forgot to write it down.. so i don't remember now..
Well first update down, for the weekly updates. It may not have any obvious impact to any visitors. But i cut the website up between several webpages. So 1. it's possible to bookmark a section not a particular page yet though. and 2. there's a lot less code on each page. Which should make everything i alot simpler.

I have made a ball bounce!
Alright well i haven't actually done anything since i created the bouncing ball as featured. here . and in all fairness that wasn't even REALLY my creation. And what i hope to do next won't be my creation either, it's just getting someone elses creation to work and therefor feeling better about myself because i will have learned another essential step on the way to making my own games. Happy Days... not the show more of a way of saying i'm happy? i guess. Err right.
Christmas was nice, i don't know if it was the weather but it didn't really feel like christmas you know? But i feel older, more mature somehow. As if the very act of getting older has something to do with it. Or maybe it's just the next semester of classes coming up. I finally made it to Calculus 1! starts up in a week, sadly i've taken all available programming classes for this semester.. so i won't be able to do any coding classes. I took a database class so i could atleast have some excuse for being on a computer at school.
I reformated my computer, but i've been wanting to post something but i had a lot.. i mean ALOT of reinstalling. The computer is running in a more "lean" way. The viruses that i had were gone, and i got rid of a lot of programs that i wasn't really using. I've connected my stationary computer out in the living room up to a big screen tv :) it's pretty neat to have. Works as a dvd palyer too so there's that. Wireless keyboard/mouse FTW plus a new keyboard for my laptop.. which has really ceased being "portable" at this point. I could do it if i really wanted to, but it's kind of hooked up like "phillip"(Shawn of the dead) was hooked up to blood lines in underworld.. Victor? He's an awesome actor!
Well i guess that's about it, going to be taking a lot of classes, which i'm genuinely looking forward to, nothing like a break to make you feel useless for a few weeks. I had a few ideas for the setup of the website, and i'm not entirely sure what i'm going to do yet but i might do an overhaul soon. Might take a few days and cut the fat on the website. and change how it works, plus change the "design" a little bit.. i really like the wallpaper to this page and i might use it for every page.. or i just might find a new one, something I can call my own creation.. I'm not a bad artist when i put my mind to it.
